To blog or not to blog...
...that is the question that has been bedeviling me for lo, these many moons. For one thing, I don't care for the word "blog" itself. Not only does it contain within it the word "blah" - subliminally suggesting dullness and insignificance - but it ends with the harsh and overly consonanty "guh" sound. I wish we could make up a new word for it, but that ship has sailed, I suppose.
Also, it takes a certain amount of ego to consider your thoughts worth publishing, even in the ephemeral form of pixels and bits. Not that I don't have an ego; I just don't like to admit it.
Mostly, though, I am afraid of new things. I have always identified with the Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer:

"I am just a simple caveman. I don't understand your 'computers' and your 'internets.' Sometimes I just want to throw down my iBook and run off into the hills, or whatever." It's not that I'm a Luddite - I love the groovy things that technology can do these days, particularly with music - it's just that I hate not knowing what to do. What I really want is a Star Trek-type computer that I can just give verbal instructions to. But those jerkoffs in silicon valley are taking forever to make that happen, so I suppose this will have to do.
Whatever else

1) ephemeral!
2) since my full name is Cecil-guh Vortex-guh, I take exception at your disdain for disdain for the sound "guh."
